2019-20 Urban Deer Hunt Dates
All urban deer hunts will open Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 and close Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020.
***Cherokee Village & Fairfield Bay opens Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 and closes Friday, Jan. 31, 2020***
***Horseshoe Bend opens Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 and closes Friday, Feb. 28, 2020***
***Proficiency Shooting is MANDATORY for EVERYONE participating in the Urban Hunts!!! No EXEMPTIONS FOR 3+YEARS OF PARTICIPATION!!!***
!!!YOU MUST QUALIFY WITH YOU MOST PROFICIENT METHOD ON THE FIRST TRY!!! IF YOU FAIL WITH YOUR FIRST METHOD, NO OTHER OPPORTUNITY WILL BE GIVEN WITH ANY OTHER TYPE OF ARCHERY EQUIPMENT!!!
***You must hunt with the type of bow that you use to pass the proficiency shoot (If you plan on using a crossbow & a compound, you must qualify with both)***
Check your city protocol as they can set the dates to start later or close earlier then other cities.

NOTICE: There is no permits restrictions in Hot Spring Village this year. Registration for Hot Spring Village is open to as many as pass the proficiency shoot.
Urban Deer Hunt Application Requirements
A drawing will not be conducted for these hunts. However, all hunters are required to follow the protocol outlined in the following document.

IBEP classes for the 2019-20 Urban Hunts
You will need to take the online class and attend one of the field day classes held at one of the orientations.
If you have attended one of the classes in the past and already received your Bow Hunter Ed card, you will not need to attend the classes again.

All persons attending the orientations should be at the location by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the orientation. A briefing will begin at 8:00 a.m., there we will explain the rules and regulations for the city in which you are hunting. After the briefing, proficiency testing will begin along with registration and permit issue. If you have taken the IBEP Class on-line you will need to bring a copy of your completion certificate from the course before attending the field day portion of the class.
