Clarence Taylor accepting yet another Member of the Year award from
ABA President Bob Hynum. Not only is Clarence the prettiest ABA
member, he is also one of the hardest working. Thank you Clarence
for all you do. |

The motley crew in front of the stage are collectively known as "The
Redneck Gourmets". The Redneck Gourmets are the fellas who put on
the dutch oven cook we all love so much. This event raises a lot
of money for the Roger Maynard Scholarship Fund. New to the group
is Tom White on the far left, followed by Higgy, Ronnie, and Keith.
Missing from the group is Doug Thornton, although I don't recall anyone
saying that they missed him. But we did. |
 |
These are the 2007 Roger Maynard Scholarship recipients.
Pictured from L to R are Robert Hynum ($500), Crystal Griffin ($750),
and Micah Barnes ($1000). Congratulations to a well deserving
group. The ABA wishes you all the best. |

2007 ABA Hall of Fame recipient, Dr. Shelby Woodiel inspecting a
good looking turkey mount before the ceremonies begin. Dr. Woodiel
was the first recorded non-native American to harvest a wild turkey with
archery equipment. Over the years he has been a great asset to the
ABA. One of Dr. Woodiel's most notable quotes of the evening:
"I'm not sure I deserve this, but you're not getting it back." |

Dr. Woodiel had many years of bowhunting memories to relay in a
short period of time. He and Mr. Ben Pearson became life-long
friends after Ben went to visit him about his feat of taking a wild
turkey with a bow. |

Dr. Woodiel making his final remarks to the crowd. He gave a
very compelling presentation that everyone enjoyed. |
